Easy way to go for BUFR

A free conversion between TDCF and TAC versions of codes and vica versa allows you to perform the dual-dissemination, generate BUFR observations without an immediate upgrade of the observing hardware/software, support old TAC-based legacy systems until they are upgraded or replaced (or put out of operation), as well as to provide TDCF to new systems.

All the TDCF data arriving from other RTH/NMC’s will be converted back to TAC for legacy systems so you will immediately be able to distribute your observations in BUFR/CREX simply by converting them from TAC codes as well as to convert observations received from GTS for your compatibility.

You can even compile!

Moreover, you can compile multiple observations into TDCF bulletins in both BUFR and CREX formats, so this module can fully support the role of a decoding, encoding and compilation system in your NWS. The module keeps the integrity of the converted bulletins so your compilation will be still controlled and configured by your existing switching system!

Extensible: Driven by XML

The module can internally represent the data matrix in XML which can also be used for interfacing other systems on-site. But most importantly, conversions are programmed based on the XML functionality: the module features a XSLT-Processor and the conversion programs are actually XSL transformations. Thanks to this it is possible to support new formats just by adding new transformation rules.
