IBL Software Engineering has a long-standing commitment to supporting education, innovation, and future generations of experts. With great pride, we announce our financial support for the prestigious University of Exeter in England as part of their new program aimed at postgraduate students. This initiative, which we have chosen to support, will be implemented in partnership with the UK Met Office, one of the world’s leading meteorological institutions.
Our support focuses on creating unique opportunities for students pursuing studies in data science, artificial intelligence, and environmental science. Specifically, our financial contribution will be directed toward three key areas:
A prize to recognize the MSc postgraduate student with the best-written dissertation.
Students and their supervisors will have the opportunity to apply for funding to support their work and research, whether for conference attendance, software or data purchases, or data collection.
JCEEI – the Joint Centre for Excellence – will organize a special event for all MSc students from relevant University of Exeter programs (data science, AI, environmental science). This event will take place at the Met Office headquarters in Exeter, offering students the chance to explore the Met Office operations, meet with scientists, and attend inspiring career talks.
Our ambition is not only to support student development but also to strengthen the connection between academia and practice in technology, artificial intelligence, and environmental sciences. Through this initiative, we aim to contribute to nurturing a new generation of talents who will play a critical role in addressing global challenges.
