On April 24, 2024, Brno hosted the Allheads event, a major gathering aimed at connecting IT students with leading industry players in this rapidly evolving field. The event attracted over 200 participants and representatives from 11 prestigious IT companies, creating an excellent platform for networking, skill-building, and career exploration.

As the general partner, IBL Software Engineering was proud to be part of this exciting event, supporting the creation of valuable opportunities for students to meet with professionals from top IT companies.

The event's program centered on innovation and professional development, featuring ten presentations on a range of IT and non-IT topics. These sessions provided attendees with insights into the latest trends and challenges in the IT sector. Additionally, there were six hands-on workshops, two of which were led by experts from our company.

One of the our workshops focused on reducing cyclomatic complexity in Python, emphasizing the importance of writing code without relying on conditional statements. We demonstrated ways to minimize the use of traditional IF statements, introducing techniques that improve code readability, scalability, and ease of testing.

In the our second workshop, students learned how to build a simple Single Page Application (SPA) using Angular. They were introduced to the OpenLayers library, which enables the integration of dynamic, feature-rich maps into websites. The workshop also covered how to make WMS requests to retrieve geospatial data from public APIs and display it on the map. We also discussed the latest web technologies used by our developers in creating meteorological applications for global clients.

The Allheads event also featured Head Talks, short sessions where industry professionals shared personal stories from their careers. These presentations provided a behind-the-scenes look at life within major IT companies and offered valuable inspiration for attendees. We were honored that our CEO, Michal Weis, was one of the speakers.

In addition to the presentations and workshops, the event included two panel discussions featuring leaders from top IT and tech firms. Moderated by the general partners, these discussions offered attendees important insights into the current state and future challenges of the IT industry. We were particularly pleased that our CEO, Michal Weis, moderated one of the discussions on the topic of Multidisciplinarity and AI.

Participants also had the opportunity to attend personalized "Two Heads Chat" sessions, where they could engage directly with our CEO, Michal Weis, on various topics.

In an exciting new addition this year, IBL Software Engineering sponsored a presentation of the Apple Vision Pro, allowing attendees to experience this groundbreaking technology firsthand. After the formal program, the "Afterparty: Networking Opportunity at Schrotte" provided an informal space for additional networking.

At IBL Software Engineering, we are always dedicated to supporting young, talented individuals and fostering their professional growth. We are proud to have once again been a key part of the Allheads event, contributing to the connection of future IT leaders with experts and companies. We look forward to future editions and are excited to continue our active involvement in this innovative and promising initiative.
