On March 20, the Allheads event took place at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava. The event focused on connecting IT students with companies in this dynamic sector. With more than 600 participants and 20 IT companies, the event offered a unique opportunity for networking, skill development, and career exploration. As the event's general partner, our company, IBL Software Engineering, had the opportunity to contribute to the rich program and help create a space for meetings between students and representatives of leading IT companies.

The program primarily emphasized innovation and skills development. Participants had the chance to attend ten lectures covering various IT and non-IT topics. These lectures broadened participants' horizons on the latest trends and challenges faced by the IT industry. In addition, there were sixteen workshops, two of which were led by our company. The first topic of our workshop was reducing cyclomatic complexity: programming without conditions in Python, where students had the chance to experiment with methods to minimize traditional IF statements. We also guided them through techniques aimed at improving the readability, testability, and extendability of code. Our first workshop concentrated on programming a simple SPA web application using the Angular framework. Students learned to use how to use the OpenLayers library and place a dynamic and interactive map with many features on any website. They also got to try calling WMS requests with geospatial data from public APIs and displaying such data directly on the map. Our second workshop covered the latest web technologies that our web developers use daily in developing meteorological applications for international clients.

The program also featured Head Talks—short narrative formats in which speakers shared stories from their business and professional lives. These stories provided participants with a unique behind-the-scenes look at large IT companies and inspired them on their own career paths. We are extremely proud that one of the speakers was our CEO, Michal Weis. In addition to the lectures and workshops, two major panel discussions were held at Allheads, featuring leaders from prominent IT and tech companies. These discussions, led by the general partners, offered participants a unique insight into current topics and challenges in the IT sector. Again, we are proud to mention that one of the panel discussions on Multidisciplinarity and AI was led by our CEO, Michal Weis. Participants also had the chance to attend individual "Two Heads Chat" meetings, where they could also discuss various topics, with our CEO Michal Weis.

This year, students have had the opportunity to experience new technological innovations. Our company, IBL Software Engineering, sponsored the Apple Vision Pro presentation, which attendees could try out and explore the possibilities of this innovative technology. At IBL Software Engineering, we are constantly striving to support young, talented individuals and offer them opportunities for growth and development. We are proud to have been a part of Allheads again and contributed to connecting future IT leaders with professionals and companies. We look forward to future editions as an active participant of this innovative and promising event.
