The company

IBL Software Engineering is a global leader in meteorological IT services and software development. We have been building meteorological telecommunication systems for about 40 years and have supplied systems to many national meteorological offices, military weather services, and airports all around the world, literally on all continents including Antarctica. Our software is scalable so it can fit the needs of small, medium, large, as well as non-tech-demanding users.

IBL Software Engineering was established in 1988 in Frankfurt, Germany. Then in 1997 IBL Slovakia was established in Bratislava with Michal Weis as the managing director. All development, support, and business concentrated in Slovakia.

Shortly after that IBL started the development of its flagship product – the Visual Weather software. Visual Weather is a visualization server/workstation to support forecasters, integrating all kinds of meteorological data into one desktop.

From that time on IBL developed a wide range of meteorological software products (off-the-shelf) with an assigned name being usually “Something Weather“, for example, Moving Weather, Aero Weather, Satellite Weather, Online Weather etc.

Our strategy is providing the most advanced systems together with the best innovators and maintain the quality of products and provided services.

We are setting trends or standards through participation in a number of expert teams. For many years, IBL is worldwide well-known as an innovator and a technological leader on the market.

Our aim is to continuously evolve the products based on the requirements, needs, and expectations of our customers.

Our key partners and customers are leaders in the meteorological field such as Bureau of Meteorology (Australia), UK MetOffice, AustroControl, Deutscher Wetterdienst, Airbus Defence & Space, New Zealand Met Service, Dubai Airport and many more.
